Basecoat clear, after acid etching primer and epoxy primer.

house of colors has a vast selection of vibrant colors. although more involved to spray due to being a 3 stage system if trying to match say the boats colors or graphics its also a choice.

That stuff is good, but you are right about laying it down. Pretty much a pain in the but until you become familiar with it.

Imron can be mixed to any color, metallics etc. Dupont has come out with their own house of color line.
