Ok So I ordered The Leverage product line. I got the Hull Cleaner, OR, And Polish. Tomm Morning I'm Getting up early and starting my detailing project and dont have a clue where to start. Was Wondering if someone could help with the order in which i should use the products and how they should be applied. I know there a million threads on here but i need it broke down to the most basic level due to this being my first boat and my first detail. Thanks For The Help.

The hull cleaner is pretty much for stains on the bottom or at the water line. Here is the way I would do it.

Use the hull cleaner to remove any stains, then dry the sides and deck. Next start on the deck with the OR and then do the sides with the OR. When you are and satisfied with the results of the OR, then wash the entire boat some Dawn dish soap. It will remove any old wax and dirt still left and the OR residue/dust. Dry the boat completely and go have a few beers, cause your arms are going to be tired. Then apply the Leverage Polish.

I found after I used the O.R. with wool pads I had swirl marks, so then I used 3m's Finesse it swirl glaze and then I went to the Leverage Polish with awesome results. I am by no means an expert at detailing and it sounds like a lot of people can go from the O.R. to the polish but I had swirl marks that had to be removed first.

it's a time consuming process to do it right. My boat was painted with IMRON, and needed wet sanded first. 800, then 1200, then compound, polish, etc. you get the idea. It has taken WAY longer than I expected. Good luck, the results will be worth it!

Looking good Baja! Hard work, but well worth the results! I'm only on OSO about once per week right now, so if you need anything please post up and I'm sure one of us will chime in.

I removed some stickers last year on the sides and under the stickers is bright white and where the stickers werent covering is yellowed. I did some wet sanding this last week with 1000 and I still cannot get the yellow completely gone. I am going to use the OR next trip to polish it out and see if that helps the yellowing. It was alot of work and I am still sore.

Anyone have any ideas? About the yellowing not that I am out of shape.

That is the issue with removing vinyl or painted graphics whether it be from a painted or gel hull. The longer the graphics were on, the less likely you will be able to blend out the spot from where the were removed.
