After the Superbowl, I conned a friend to help set in the cockpit part I cut out to get to the stringers. Seeing this in place was a great achievement. It really felt like I rounded the corner. Unfortunately, we were still getting a lot of snow. I had to give up a day to dig out the driveway...

The first image shows how the results of the mold sagging when filling in the outboard cut out... I wasn't happy about that but kind of was regrouping on the next steps to take..

Jr,

Those burred out stress cracks look pretty deep. Would you not need a little glass fiber in there or do just fill it all in with epoxy filler?...........I know epoxy (west system) doesn't come cheap........check out www.aeromarineproducts.com I here good things about it. I've been using systems three @ $127 for the 1-1/2 gal. set...............Aero is $85........what havee you been paying?

Once the cockpit was fitted to be re glassed in, I had to make sure the removable floor would fit back in. With much amazement, it was good to go.. The next step was to glass it in. I believe I glassed in 3 layers in on the bottom, then filler, and then 3 layers of glass on top. It was pretty straightforward.

Yeah, up in the corners I did go pretty deep but, thats how far the crack propagated. You may be right on needing to add some glass fibers. To be honest, I just filled in with epoxy.... Will they crack again... Only time will tell.. As for Epoxy, I went with what most recommended on this site to use, U.S. Composites. It was Allot better priced the West Systems

Jr,

Everything looks great!....you've become the proverbial "glass man".....I presume you going with a bracket since the well is no longer.
