Next steps were to create to glass wood over the tops of the stingers in the bilge. It was still cold out at the shop. I once again coated them with glass & epoxy at home before tabbing them in.... Nothing like glassing and playing twister all at the same time! Cant believe I fit in there..............

I was getting exited. It was March and I was getting closer to the end of the glass work... My next step was to glass in a cabin floor to the stingers.. It was back to Arts & Crafts for making a template... I did that for the first to pieces and cut 1/2" ply.. I wanted a ski locker so I started to make sure that happened. I realized I needed to accomplish it using 4 pieces...

I cut the remaining two pieces and decided to use my straight edge to finish out the ski locker.... I decided to coat them with glass out side the boat so all I had to do is tab in with 3 layers.... Once the epoxy was cured I sanded for tabbing to the side walls & stringers..

Once the cabin floor was ready to install, I finally permanently installed the removable floor over the gas tank. Every step was getting it closer to a complete boat... I was happy to say by to the stringers.

To adhere the cabin floor to the stingers were I would not be able to tab in, I sanded both mating sides first and decided to use West Systems Six 10. I used any heavy objects in the shop to keep the floor pressed against the stringers till it cured. Once cured I then tabbed the topside to all the sides. On the bottom side I tabbed to the inside stingers that made up the ski locker..... Thanks again to my awesome wife keep feeding me epoxy, thickened epoxy and glass.. I think I spent 3 hours in the boat without getting out

I was feeling good at this point. I took a good amount of pictures and overloaded Glass Dave's email account with them. I wanted him to see the state of the boat. It was going to be dropped of in his hands soon for final prep and paint...

For those that noticed no tires on the trailer, you have a good eye. I was searching for new bearings & seals. In the meantime, I was starting to assemble a center counsel as a plug to give to Dave. Hands down, my inspiration for the project was all the awesome 21 Cigs Phil has put out.. Through out the project I refereed to all the smaller boats he has restored/built. Not sure who is the true brains of those projects but, I have to give credit where it is due.... I also wanted to bring up the kick board but, once I sat in the driver seat, it was apparent I was to tall to take it back up to its original state.... So I found a happy medium...

Next few pics were from glassing that kick board in. I remember clearly... It was a nice unusually warm sunny spring day.... That just heightened the excitement
