Good old Sr. came up to visit with one thing in mind, Help get the project out the door to Dave. Being I have watched him change wheel bearings ever since I was young, we worked on that... We even had a chance to drink a few beers. That turned into placing some interior back in along with the seats to get a feel of how it was turning out.. That was a good day!

Well, thats all the picks off the build up to the point to send off to Dave. I installed all new LED trailer lights. We headed off one Saturday with Toledo on our mind... I dropped off the boat in good hands and was happy to have a break!

Nothing like seeing someone taking a classic that needs restored and then seeing it as a blank sheet of paper. Ending up with your version of the perfect boat from that mold.
Doing it yourself and even having your wife involved is just as good as it gets! Well done.

Do you have your motor sorted? Didn't I read 25" 225 Merc? Carbed or EFI? Great motors either way, easy to work on and cheap to keep running.

I spent all day there. My phone died so i didnt know what time it was so i just kept sanding thinking Jack would show up soon to give me a hand. He showed up, after he went home and ate, took a nap, changed and came with no beer at about 8 oclock i think. Boy did I hurt the next day. I just want to see this thing float finally. I picked it up for him i florida, dragged it to ohio, and all ive seen is pictures of it in the garage for about the last 3 years i think. I only said one thing to him about this boat, with the amount of time and effort he has put into this project, i just want to see it past down to his jr someday. Keep it up jack. Your almost their.

Thanks for the kind words...! It is starting to come together, slowly... The cover was a Menards special. Nothing custom about it. I towed it to daves and bought a new one so it would not scratch the boat

Yup, if I dont have a kid, this boat is going to Speedy!!! Thanks again for all the work!! When its some what dialed in I got your airline ticket... Here's what you have been waiting for... Taken at the end of February...

Well, it looks like Dave did his usual hack work. :lolhit:

Man, it looks beautiful! Now the real picky work begins - re-rigging. Having done my share of rigging in the past, I can tell you that it's both frustrating and rewarding - at the exact same time. The key to good rigging is planning and preparation. The thread on bringing back the old M-00 cat was a great example of somebody doing all of that right. Just take your time, measure twice & cut once, and set everything up as if you'd have to trouble shoot it and you'll be fine!
