[QUOTE=Josh LaFountain;3627522 You need to take it back to the guy who painted it and make him redo it. QUOTE]
Yeah, like josh said. if you touch it, your "painter" is off the hook. if he won't take care of you, then see if any other painters on here are close enough to help.

I know if i had a Delamination issue with one of my jobs i would have to redo it for free. thats just good business. If it was a product failure my paint rep would reimburse me for materials but id still have to eat the labor. But once again. thats just good business.

I own a body shop and through the years have been bitten by cheap clear coat. My dist. says it is the next best thing for cost/wear and then a year or two later I start having come backs. When I ask my seller he says that they have had a few problems with the past system and now there is a new better system. There are cheap materials that last a year or two and there are better grades that drive the cost up exponentialy. If I explain to my customer that there are better materials avalible and we use a cheaper grade, then the come back is on the customer. I do the best I can on every job and cant be held responsible for bad decisions on my customers behalf. PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!! I DID NOT PAINT THIS BOAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wanted to give the painter the benifit of doubt. No one knows what he was paid to do. just my 2cts.

I also own a collision center and Im a custom painter. I do not use inferior products. We have a contract with finishmaster for Spies hecker and will not use a cheap product to save a customer money. you get what you pay for. If you dont want to pay for the good stuff head down the road. thats the best way to keep yourself out of situations like this. We have a LIFE TIME written warrenty on all our jobs....and just for the record...Who in thier right mind would use cheap inferior product on a CIG 38 TOP GUN. thay are top of the line and only deserve top of the line products.
