Default Blend Line - Black Gelcoat

Had a gouge in my black gel filled and sprayed. Very good job on VERY, VERY tough color to match, even with the "factory match" gel from Spectrum. However, if you look certain way in certain light, you can see the blend line. As the owner, ofcourse I see it more clearly than ANYONE can. We all have that spot(s) on our boats.....

My question: with wet sanding, buff, polish, and wax, can you make the blend line go away or largely disappear? My thought is, the blend line is on top of the factory gel which is much thicker than the spray over touch up/blend. With some smoothing down, etc, can the transition be impacted?

Work was done mid May this year.

Thx.

With spraying gel it's very tough to make it go away in specific light conditions

Did you use patch aid. When I do patches I wetsand and polish the surrounding area. Then wipe down too make sure nothing is left behind. Spray and let sit for 24 hours at least on dark colors. The patch aid helps cure the thin part which is called a halo that you are seeing. But even at the end of the day sometimes you will have a slight halo on some and we do it everyday.

Lol my friend... im sure patch aid and all other techniques were applied. Me and Awash just so happen to have a foggy black color that can not be 100% matched. Ive come to accept that.

Thanks all!
