Default Bennet trim tab ?

I have bennet 12x12 trim tabs on a 29 footer. i was wondering if i could upgrade to the 12x16 bennet tabs by just knocking out the hinge pin and swaping out the trim tab plates, or do i need to change the whole trim tab and and hinge plate that is mounted to the boat?

I believe you have insta trim 12x13 tabs not Benetts,
insta trim offers 12x16 plates that comes with the hinge plates for around $400.00 but the problem is you still have the slow moving cylinders.

Look at your buddys boat across the street so you get a idea of what to do!

most likely, yes..people swap 280 k-planes for 380's frequently, just the plate...measure the mounts, angles and the length of the rams for the longer setup...if it looks good, it probably is...be sure to check that your drives won't nip the inner edge of the tab... if you think they will, just cut the corner off...your tab will still work fine...
