Tiem to get back in the water.
#1
Well, after a year of sitting on dry land, it's finally time to get the boat wet again. I took the port engine to the engine shop after my catastrophe in September '07. It appears that I was running a little lean on the jetting, and after 40 minutes of WOT, one exhaust valve broke off my Canfield heads, and destroyed 3 pistons.
After deliberation at the engine shop... it's worse.
He said the heads are not repairable. So I think I need a set of Canfield heads. Also, he said the engine block is not work fixing. So I need an engine block. HELP!!! Looking for a 454, Gen IV, 4 bolt main, 2 piece rear main seal, no more than .030 overbore. Oh, and I'm not paying $2000 for one like someone has already suggested to me. lol
