However (baring in mind the "rack") it would be amusing watching her cleaning the transom with the bikini-top........(sorry couldn't resist writing it) :)

I'd stand right next to ya and watch. Assembling the heads now.

What kind of heads and cam are you using. I need to build a couple of 383s.

They are a set of heads I had. Pontiac 58cc 1.94/1.5. The chambers are so small I had to go with a small dish in the piston to keep the compression ratio reasonable. If I were able to buy new heads these would not be my choice. I'd go with bigger valves and larger chambers. I'm trying a Lunati cam intake .504 exhaust .525 #60104. I can't recommend it yet because I havent run it yet. The numbers are close to what I wanted so it should be OK. I think I'll need to keep the exhaust dry as long a possible.

Thru hull exhaust

I have a 89 Eclipse 233 thats been my ongoing project for over 2 years. Done everything from rebuilding stringer, deck, new interior, wiring and the list keeps going...planning to pull motor again, rear main seal decided to sh*t the bed, never ends! anyway, I want to put in thru hull exhaust and would like any tips or pics of an Eclipse 233 thats been converted to thru hull exhaust..

I haven't done it yet but I plan on doing thru hull under the swim platform. I plan on taking pictures of the whole thing and posting them here. This is the exhaust I plan on using. It's a dry pipe. I plan on cutting them up and adding a couple 90's to make them exit under the platform.

Thru hull

I'm planning on pulling the engine the second week of march. I figured now's a good time especially that its nice and cool outside...I'm going to run the exhaust under the steering actuator, it's a tight fit but not impossible. I'll also be taking plenty of pics

Cool budget build. I don't think the heads you chose are a bad choice. they have d-port exh should be about 170cc on intake side a good basic pocket port on the bowls and gasket match and the right cam should make good power with loads of bottom torque. would recomend a good dual plane like the performer air-gap rpm and a 750 double pumper. should make power to 5000+ and the torque to get you on a plane quick with the right prop. jmo
