Didn't talk about that... its on its way. I just didn't want to give up any bottom end, and felt the 112 LC would help there but hurt a little up top and the additional lift would help make up for the tighter LC up top.

I was jtold by Jud http://www.samracing.com/main.htm

That more HP is made with lower compression (no lower then 7.5) and more boost, then higher compression & less boost.
At the time he said the higher compression was more likly to cause detonation then the boost. Of course he said this back in 1985 & a lot has happen since then.

The problem with the procharger vs whipple is you do not have any low end torque since boost is lacking big time at low rpms. The only place I have trouble is coming on plane. With M4 set for 10 lbs of boost I can only pull 2 lbs coming on plane. If running at 2300 rpm & nail the throttle the motor jumps to 4500 rpms (don't remember boost) and then continues up from there.

That's the philosophy I believe in. Less compression more boost. But GPM has more time in real world testing than I have in a boat, lol. Not really but he has much more than me by many times over with the Prochargers, and cams. If he says it works it is because he has tried it.

Well it will be interesting to see how it works. I should know in a few weeks. My guess is the pistons and cam should be back near the end of next week.
I didnt get any boost at all getting on plane. It was 2200 and would climb to 2500 it would not plane if it didnt get to 2500. once it got there it would push over and before it flattened out I had to let off because it would be comming on fast.
