Did you ask Isky expressly about the wheels? They have two types and vowed to not put the lesser of the two on the EZ wheeled lifters used for marine use, after mine failed after 20hrs.
But I would suspect you might want to question them on it.

Just my .02..

No I didnt know there were two wheels. I will call them after the Christmas holiday once we settle on the cam specs and get it ground.
I will let you know what I hear. That is what you were saying is the Jim Oddi wheel?
Thanks

Yes.. that is what they called it.. Jim Oddie wheel. He is a drag racer, or was and he helped them develope the new EZ wheel.
My failure was attributed to my setup, but the same thing happened to another friends motor and Richard Isky said the wheel stopped spinnng due to the bearing. They put JO wheels on it and after 70hrs this season, the lifters were fine..

Isky rebuilt mine with the JO wheels but didnt help out on the trashed out block I now have... but that is what they call engine development, I guess..
So I have not run them yet to see how they would hold up. The old 565 will eventually get reassembled and put in a lawn mower or something.. Not sure what I will do with it.

Sorry I was not updating. The engine is @ Performance Marine. Should be on the dyno this week. Here are some pictures. Parts came in slow holding up the build. Many of the performance company's did not have parts on the shelf's and things had to be build to order. I heard cores were hard to come by. But in the end it will all be worth it.. Jason @ Performance Marina is as much or more into details and perfection than me... I didn't think that was possible, no doubt why his stuff holds up and he has a stellar reputation. There are few guys like that out there.

The only used piece is the EFI intake. Saved about $1,000. This is an old pic, is stripped and painted and bigger injectors...

Shortblock in paint, I love polished alum and chrome but hate the maintenance. so the shortblock is black, the polished procharder will stay same with the timing cover, The intake, valve covers, alt, power steering are going to be purple the same purple on the boat. I should get more pics this week.
