You need to take a close look at the piston skirts. They will pick up that metal floating around and it will get impregnated into the aluminum. They will wipe out the cylinder walls prematurely. When ever I got that much metal floating around I always end up with new pistons.

If you are going roller you will need shorter pushrods. Roller lifters are taller. Should use springs that cam manufacturer recommends for the particular cam you end up using.

Good luck with that, odds are your springs are not a correct match to the cam. If your valves float that could make it go Boom.

Who is your Cam guy ?

Check CP performance, Eddie Marine, there are a bunch of companies that make aftermarket coolers.

Take a look at the thread on oiling, make sure you have the correct relief valves.

Good luck, take your time and do not rush through it, if you have any more questions let us know.

Ok since you put it like that I will replace the springs too. What is the best cam for these motors? Should I go to roller rockers? If so why?
