Thanks for all the advice everyone. I'll try without the heat first. Hopefully they will free up with the 2x4 method. I'll let everyone know how I make out.

Run a razor blade as far in as you can between the tip and the transom to try and cut the caulking.

I used a wood block cut down to a wedge. hit it with a hammer and they came off pretty easy. It took me longer to undo the clamps from the inside than to knock off the tips.

I scraped away alot of the sealant with a pic and razor blade and then just grabbed the tips on the back side of the transom and let my bodyweight do the work. They broke free pretty easy but maybe Im just a fat ass.
