no it got off topic at number 38 when you made a smart azz comment..

Mike built the engines himself. I was there for the dyno session. Those quick fuel carbs were pretty much spot on out of the box. Just over 1200hp on 93 octane , idle like a dream, and snap your neck back when he puts the throttles down . So Yes, they do run.

How is that off topic? he's using Quick Fuel carbs that toasted the engines because of lack of fuel.. My question is, is it because they can't handle the set up or were they not tuned properly???

Seems your not a hands on wrench like me and mike and you never raced a day in your like it can get real confusing for you...lets just say running carbs on a blower engine and the change in the weather @ 10* can phuck up a engine in no time, especially if your running on the edge..Also its 1200 hp on 93 octane fuel,,would it be his fault if he got a bad batch of fuel or lets say they used bp 93 on the dyno and mike had 93 shell in his boat would that hurt it?? dam rite it would because shell has oxygen aided fuel which tends to run lein..

Nice try..

Again I would bet that they were put on a dyno ran taken back off and put in the boat with absolutely no tuning at all.. My guess is they needed bigger jets and tuned properly.. And judging by the responses about the carbs thats what happened..

I think I'll get some for my engines now that I know for a FACT that's what happened with Mikes engines.. I'm pretty confident that the carbs wern't the problem so I'm gonna get a couple of them on order!!!

From what i was told from mild thunder and mike is it was a fuel delivery problem,,boat had blower engines in it when mike got it and mike never ran the boat not wanting to hurt the engines.(they were tired).he pulled them tool them apart and off the the machine shop they go,,i think he made them bigger not sure and he installed bigger blowers..

So i dont doubt what he ias saying because it was only one engine that got hurt and the other one runs perfect,,its fixed now and it ran perfect all summer...thanx for posting pic's of your beautiful baja,,cant wait to see it in person the next time im on the lake st clare..i bet mike or joe cant wait to see it either....

edit,,that engine that mild thunder posted is one of mikes engine's ..If their was a problem it would have happened on the dyno..he would not have payed the 600 bucks to dyno tune them if they were running lein...any dummy can look at the headers and see if they were glowing red that the engines were lein..

Thats BS and you know it 93 is 93 and weather has nothing to do with it! So what your saying is if the weather changes with a blower motor you need to re-tune the engine every time you use the boat? Why in the hell would you want a blower engine for then? If your worried about the octane why not put some 100 in it and call it good?

I know a sh!t load of guys running blowers that absolutely aren't worried about which brand of gas to use because of the weather.. You guys just can't admit failure plain and simple!!! The carbs do the job when there tuned properly..
