I see you just screwed this to the transom, that was my main concern. I didn't know it the weight from the bracket, hoses, filter, and such would be to much to just use some large stainless screws.

I believe i used four stainless lags and silicone in the pre-drilled holes to seal it good . Twelve seasons and it has not moved . I guess i could have just beat 16 penny nails through the transom and bent them over on the outside ...:lolhit: Also wired my ignition and fuel pump to be activated by the oil pressure switch along with a red LED to show me the oil pressure switch is working . Loss of oil pressure kills my fuel pump and ignition .

I was not criticizing your work, I was just saying I was concerned with screws but by no means did I think through bolting to be an option.

I appreciate the input and the pictures! Did you make that bracket?

Not to worry my friend , i took nothing you said as criticizem . I was trying to make a joke about mounting it with nails . Yes , i did all the rigging on this boat . It had a 502 Mag Mpi when it was spun out , flipped over and partially submerged . I bought it brand new wrecked . The only thing that is original now is the fiberglass .

My lines were made by a local hydraulic shop .

I saw some type of hose and fittings in the jeg's catalog That I was considering trying. I can't remember exactly what they were called at the moment. They were brass with barbs on them, didn't look like clamps were needed. Anyone know what I am talking about/use these?
