i have 1997 502 mpi 24 foot baha. does it have guardian mode. if it does, can you clear guardian mode by using led at diagnostic connector & moving throttle. i dont have a clear understanding of guardian mode. thanks for info.

You must determined what threw the ecu into Guardian. Once rectified Guardian will go away.

502 MPI's do not have a guardian mode. If your engine is a 1997, then it should be a 502EFI with a VST system. No guardian mode either.

Low oil pressure engine run rpm threshold 400 RPM
Low oil pressure engine run time threshold 10 Sec
Low water flow engine run rpm threshold 2000 RPM
Low water flow engine run time threshold 10 Sec
The time variable is what is allowed before RPM reduction is activated
These variables will reduce RPM

My 96 would go in "safe mode" and wouldn't rev over 3000 rpm...it was a 502 mpi
