I purchased a small tv at wallmart for 100 but i had to use a small inverter because it didnt have a ac to dc power adapter. Key was light weight because of the shock from waves.
I didnt have the nerve to drill mounting holes in the wall upholstery so i made a bracket that fit the same holes as that were in a cupboard door hinge and put it in front of the existing door. I used the smallest swivel bracket that radio shack had. It works great, cupboard still opens, and i can remove it without any holes in the walls.

Im considering replacing the factory built in 12 volt 9" tv VCR combo. I could mount a 15" flat screen DVD over the opening but are looking at what's the must rugged mounting set up. I might have to modify or make something at work if need be

Just my 2 cents... I have a 280 baja and I just bought a wall mount for my iPad. You can take it with you. Don't have to wire anything. And you can hook up a sling box to your house and stream tv with just an Internet connection. I'm in it under 500 and I use my iPad every day at home. Battery will last all day. Return the tv. I promise you will be more happy with this. The swivel wall mount cost 30 bucks on amazon. Most smart phones have a mobile hot spot app. Plus you can use it as a back up GPS.

In a larger boat, the TV can't be beat for viewing size. In my boat, I think the iPad would be good enough, and certainly a lot easier.
