Race hatch or Big blower scoops?

Need a lot of extra clearance for my new x dimension and bigger blowers. First thought was raise my hatch and put bigger scoops (we use the sun pad a lot) But then I started thinking about a padded apache style race hatch. Any input?
I think the scoops will be easier.

I would do an Apache style hatch. Raised with a pad for the wife to sun bathe. :thankyouthankyou: The back if that boat would look killer with a raised hatch like an old school race boat. I was never a fan of a sunkin hatch.

Bolt them together, cover with some foam and vinyl for the ladies to lay on, DONE. Bob

If you just raised the deck up flush with the side upholstery (looks like 8") would that not give you enough clearance?

No it wont, unfortunately I need about 4 more inches over that.
