What jets and PV are you running? Why did you go to the Scorpian rockers? Just curious. Nice job by the way!

Quick comment Dan on your interesting air charge side note. This is why apples to apples a carb setup in a controlled environment makes more power then EFI. Cools the air charge sooner subsequently more effectively. And helps combat heat created from compressing air. Keep us posted on further results.

We tried several different combos of jetting but it made the best power with 88 all the way around with 4.5PV. My carbs are non boost referenced btw.
I went with Scorpions on Bob Maduras recommendation. I think the offset Crowers would have worked better on the longer intake valves but I have no factual data to support that.

Heres a side profile compared to the very popular Cranes:

Pretty beefy.

The gauge I have is fast acting which is a plus....I fully expected the temp to rise during the pull but it was the opposite. Dropped 15* immediately as the fuel came in and then right back up at the end of the pull. I`m sure temps will vary in the boat but its a nice tool to have to monitor before and after manifold temps.

Not to bash, but the girl's tits are crooked. (oh, and everyone knows you can't have consistent AFRs with a carb)
Beautiful set up, good numbers, that will be a fantastic motor!

Lightbulb

After hearing some horror stories of bilges almost flooding last summer from blown off lines I`m also replacing many of the 'critical' clamps with these SS torsion clamps. I found em at Fastenal.

Just curious what part number Scorpions did you use and what did you end up in spring pressure?
