If you are adding the hardener do not under any circumstance spray it unless you have a fresh air system.
I just roll and brush it. Levels out fine.

use the oil based gloss white, lowes/home depot about $10 qt, brush 2 coats on, be sure to let dry before second coat, just removed the carpet on side of my engine compartment and painting with it right now...

hey exstriper... I will be removing the carpet in my bilge this weekend before painting... what did you use to remove the adhesive from the fiberglass?

I used the rustoleum with hardener on my bilge and couldn't be happier. Do not mix all at once, a little at a time, unless you want a solid can of paint before you are done.

Don't forget to stop at a dollar store and pic up some cheap tin foil. Use the tin foil for masking of hoses and wires, goes on and off faster than tape!

It's at Home Depot in gallon or qt cans. Use a can of Valspar hardener or it takes forever to dry. Mix in the hardner and you can dance on it in and hour.

yes, works will all.

And FYI in NY the only place to get hardener is a body shop supply store. Our hardware stores do not carry it.

Go to the cheap tool store and get one of these, with some extra blades. It is like a putty knife, scraper, chisel, sander all combined and on crack.
