Looking good bro. Like that torque.

She's prob got a bit more in her with some tuning. That was out of the box pull right?

mike tkach 04-03-2015 10:10 PM

notice the torque&hp at 5252rpm,exact.

Yep, first one. The afr is on a different page that I haven't seen yet but in sure with some tuning it will get better. I guess my intake install job didn't work though, oil leak. Going to have them redo that one then I'll take care of other in my garage. Things can never just go smoothly. Going to start the hydro steering install this weekend and am a little nervous as to what I'm going to run into with that

Here's the dyno sheet and specs:

- 1050 quickfuel dominator, 94 primary with 4.5PV, 98 secondary.
- Really rich at idle, around 7, so changed idle air bleeds to 72 now around 10. idle screws out one turn
- NGK -8 plugs
- boost is half of manifold pressure on dyno sheet
- TBIV ignition with V6 module. 34* total timing with 28* base timing

nice numbers, looks like it would have liked a couple more deg of timing.

ramos45 04-10-2015 10:17 PM

You think? Already at 34 and I'm only getting 6 degrees advance,

mike tkach 04-10-2015 10:56 PM

when i run them on the dyno i advance 2 deg at a time until it starts to loose power, then back it up a couple deg.i based my comment on the info you posted.i think at 36 deg the egt,s wound have dropped a little.i noticed a couple of the egt,s were getting up there.

ramos45 04-10-2015 11:09 PM

yeah I figured the egt fir what you said. Actually, shop said it dropped power slightly from 32 to 34 but that the efficiency and plugs looked best at 34 so he left it there.

mike tkach 04-10-2015 11:16 PM

it sounds like the dyno operator knows what he is doing.i think you will be real happy when you get it in the boat.:party-smiley-048:

HaxbySpeed 04-11-2015 08:57 AM

Did you use wide bands, or just the fuel flow vs airflow calc on the dyno? The reason I ask is, the hp seems about where it should be, but if you look at the fuel flow and bsfc it's showing about 100hp correction, so there might be a glitch with the rest of his sensors and worth verifying.
