I did very similar thing shortly after I bought my 28 challenger. Did a little experimenting with what I needed for size, angle etc and ended up with white acrylic that I cut at apprx 8" x 22" then heated with a heat gun to achieve proper angle. They worked great. That wind noise can be terrible.

They look awesome but I agree they aren't going to deflect anything, IMO.

I made a rough looking set that had a lot more forward angle and were taller and they barely helped anything. Think for long trips im gonna bring some cheap foam ear plugs.

You might laugh, but the best thing to use to run at night is some nice clear safety glasses. They keep the wind out of your eyes ( keeps them from watering ) and also keep the bugs from splattering all around your eye region lol.

Something like this is what I have, works great. Might look goofy but who cares, I can see.

Finally had a chance to test out the deflectors. I like the height. I can actually hear my motor now without having to duck down behind the windshield. I do need to work on the mounting though. I have them rigid mounted to the winshield frame with 1/4-20 bolts into weld nuts on backer plates that I VHB taped to the frame. The backer plates need to be larger to give VHB tape enough surface area to bond securely.

For safety I would like mine to fold also. That way if you stuff the bow you arent taking the defector to the face

For running at night and dodging river buoys, I throw on a pair of hideous lab safety goggles. They work absolutely perfect but I feel like Steve Erkel wearing them so they only come out in the dark haha.
