I think the zz502 will work with the net lash stock rockers with orig length pushrods. Same base circle and not a huge amount of lift. My gen6 came with roller rockers and stock cast alum gen 5-6 valve covers. Oil splash tabs ground off inside of covers and 2 gaskets stacked. What u running for exhaust. That duration with 110 lobe sep will cause reversion with stock mag exhaust and be borderline with the 8.1 gils...

I am running the stock cast aluminum Gen V/VI valve covers with the Scorpion Marine Endurance full rollers, but I had to double up the gaskets and use extra thick ones.

Arg! I actually passed a super deal on the cranes and grabbed these instead thinking they'd fit better. Just sitting the cover on it there's about a fat 1/4" gap to the head. I looked into spacers but they're pretty pricey and possibly problematic. It looks like Hardin makes a nice raw piece that I can notch. The air cleaner is still going to be a real bugger though. I'm going to be $1k into these damn rockers, lol.

The exhaust is CMI dry to the tip.

How can you double up the gaskets as they're more of a silicone rope?

You keep the stock O ring style gasket and then add a regular BBC valve cover thick gasket between it and the head.

I notched the edge of the valve cover and got it buttoned up. Now off to powdercoat...

with the crane golds factory covers work with just o-ring, have to be careful as some poly locks are to long, there are short ones that clear fine

I just received a replacement set of Crane Gold roller rockers, they are not the old style flat top, these have an arc on top and the back is angled cut. Still the same p/n as the old style. The rockers hit the standard poly locks that come with the lifters at zero lash. Changing push rod length does not help. Cam is # 741. Crane does not show this sit on the web site.
