BUP - is your comment above indicating these pumps are a one size fits all for mercs? or, in your order, did you pick up a variety of merc models?

I priced one of these merc pumps a while back, is $280 about right for the pump? These seemed pretty easy to replace, is this true or are looks decieving here? Are there any particular tricks to doing this?

Very easy to replace one of those pumps. If you search the internet with the part number you can find them way cheaper. Here they are on Amazon.

One size does not fit all - they are different pumps depending on engine CID -

I order some marine GM - LS versions as well. One LS design is on back order currently so my shipment is delayed. I am told 2 to 3 weeks from today - possible sooner. The V8 smalblocks - 5.0, the 5.7 and the 4.3 - V6 GM - Merc & Volvo all use the same the water circ pump - this one pump fits all of those apps.. But 2010 and up - GM - V6 4.3L is a different pump than past V-6 / 4.3 years. The 4 banger - 3.0 L GM has 2 designs. The GM 8.1 - 496 is totally different than any also. The 496 8.1 will not work for a 454 / 502 app nor will not work the other way around.

There is 2 or 3 different GM LS - marine versions. The GM - 454 and 502 use the exact same pump but different than the smallblocks and the LS versions are totally different than any of them.

The water circ pumps are CID app specific.

Again these are all USA made. I stay with what has worked for me. Pricing very fair. Want to say with shipping to your door Big block pump 454 / 502 - price 145 to 165 range. THESE ARE NOT SIERRA BRAND Water Circ Pumps. I will post when they come in if anyone needs one or more.

Impeller blade design and blade area is important for flow rates.

Finally got all pumps in today. There was 2 problems for the hold up. One of the LS version pumps was being designed / improved for the marine side and the other was that the 4 banger pump has changed with a screw in removable plug. Thanks
