Any suggestions on the best way to polish this baby up?

glassdave is probably your best source for info on bringing back flake. If not he can likely send you in the right direction.

Great boat ! It'l handle a 150. Just replace the transom. They are usually soft

Heading back up this weekend to start polishing it! Need to figure out who is going to do the interior.

That boat will handle a 150 175 or 200 no problem. My dad use to be facty backed by Astroglasss Boats in the late 70's . They Mainly made bass boats but the owner and my dad were friends. They were introducing a new fast bass boat called the Cheata SX. It was 16 foot and I think rated for a 150. He had an early 2.4 on it from merc racing via Bob Seabold and it was putting out close to 300 HP. It set a record in I think 1978 running an average of 104 both directions. Allison Claims to be the First over 100mph with a single but they are Liars. That boat was VERY Light so your glastron should have no trouble with the power.

Great weekend working on the boat! Hit it with some 3M Restorer and Wax on a wool and foam buffing wheel and it turned out amazing! Brought the interior back to Toronto and will drop it at the interior guys place hopefully this week or early next. Any suggestions on colour? Was thinking charcoal with black piping?http://i.imgur.com/tBHNp2S.jpg

A local guy redid the floor so now its good and solid! Need to order some new Glastron decals for the side as well.

Suggestions on a stereo setup? Was thinking about mounting 4 outdoor speakers on their brackets under the gunnel of the boat so you can't see them and hook them up to one of those stereo remotes on the dash? We have a guy who is going to redo the dash with a piece of lexan and a decal under it. New gauges in either black or white as well as rewire everything so they work.

Wow, this brings back memories. My first boat was a 18CVX. Had a 302, 2 barrel carb (190 hp) and a Volvo drive. Had the factory blue metalflake paint and matching original interior. It really turned a lot of heads. Bought it for $4k and sold it for $4k abt 4 years later.

There was an older gentleman who lived near me named Scottie that helped build and test lot of the prototypes for Bob H. back in the day. I took it to him for some stringer work. His eyes just abt popped out of his head when I pulled up to his shop the first time. He even went and drug his wife out to see it. Wish I still had that thing. It was one cool boat for the money.
