Dan is running return style regulators, fuel psi set to 7psi I believe. His Baker pumps, put out either 11, or 15 psi, I forget which ones he bought. It works well, and his fuel psi stays very steady.

I am running the self regulated version of those pumps, which are regulated to 7psi. Mine are the holley six valve marine pumps, that merc used on the 900sc. They don't make them anymore. Next move, will be doing what Dan has. I think the return style regulator is the way to go.

Of course, rigging is imperative. I have -10 lines from fuel tank, to pump, -10 line to a fuel block up near the blower, and then -6 line to each bowl. Carb engines need volume, not pressure. Those pumps push fuel alot better than they pull it, like most pumps.

John, if you're interested in the black anodized fuel logs like I have in this pic, let me know. The place I get them from, they are crazy cheap, as they make them in house. You can plumb in a return regulator off them as well. They have 1/2" NPT inlet, 1/2 NPT outlet on opposite side, and four 3/8 NPT outlets to carb bowls.

It dawned on me right after I posted. I wish this woulda come to me before my hampster cage finally stopped spinning and figured out what I was going to do. Regardless these are the ticket for any hp build. Joe I was looking last week for fuel logs but disnt find anything I liked so just tonight I was looking again at the stainless under over jobs. I was going to actually start a thread what works best with side by side mounted carbs and linkage. I don't want any snags at wot as I usually bring her in a little hot as it is.

I see that Baker has a 7.5# marine pump. I think I will call them and ask some questions about it

Yes, found a 250 chiller here locally and drilled and tapped the 420 mounting holes in the top of it. Looks like it should work perfectly

I hope so. Waiting on the carbs for this one and the heads to get done for the second one.
