Who is the manufaure of the boat? That doesn't look like a performance oriented hull.

Put a long level on the bottom of the hull to check for a hook?

Where in the hell did 4000lb come from? He never said that.

Hull hook is not slowing him down to the level he's reporting.

Trying a smaller prop is the simplest and quickest way to see what's going on.
