Default Gen 3 cool fuel - replace wire harness

All, this is my first post here.
I have twin 2008 mecruiser 350 MEI Horizon engines. They have Gen 3 cool fuel modules.
I had to take one apart for a low pressure fuel pump replacement, and as part of this noticed the wire going into the housing is broken right AT the housing. So i need to remove the wire harness from the cover, but can't figure out how.
The wires pass through a plastic piece into the housing, but i'm not sure how to get that out, should it be tapped out? I see no retaining clips, threads, etc. I don't want to just start banging, but need to fix or replace the harness.

Anybody know how to get it out properly?

All,
My impatience got the better of me. Thanks Alldodge... i had taken off the retainer... so i gave the plastic block a couple taps with a hammer/piston and it moved a millimeter, so i tapped it all the way out. The plastic part has two o-rings to make the seals, but otherwise is simply pushed in.

thanks,
