Default Water pumps and oil coolers.

Going from a basically stock 330 Mag 454 to a n approximately 600HP 565 Dart build. Aluminum heads, etc. I know some hi-po mercs didn't use a circulation pump. They just used water straight from the sea water pump. At what point is it worth going that way?
Secondly, how big of an oil cooler should an engine like this have on it? Probably going to run a 10qt pan with 8 qts in it to keep areation to a min. Also will have remote high flow filter assembly with large lines so as not to restrict flow.
Wasn't planning on that many cubic inches. But a steal of a deal came along that I just couldn't pass up. So I can build it mild and still have everything my Bravo out drive will want to deal with.
TIA
