Do you know where the intake is suppose to close abdc. Sounds like a lot of clearance.

To check piston to valve clearance with a hydraulic cam you need a very light spring on the valves. If you just turned the motor over with regular valve springs you collapsed the lifter and your measurements are no where near correct.

I'm not sure where this thread took a turn, but before this valve clearance and light spring thing took place, we where talking about your cam probably installed wrong.
Or maybe I took a wrong turn. I can't remember. So many people with problems now a days. LOL.

Did or did you not have a multi keyway timing set ? Did or did you not check your cam timing with degree wheel set up.

Sorry if I'm behind.

O my good SB..Yes i did have a 3-vay keyway and it was mounted wrong. When the dots where like this

the intake valve is hitting the piston. Then i found another 0 mark and i put it like this

then i have this 0.236 gap..Because i live in a vilige far far away i dont have a degree disk.So i took clay and soft springs and got this messurment

The timing set is installed correctly. The keyway on the crank is not supposed to line up with the dot on the cam gear. If you put the 0 on the keyway, then you use the 0 on the crank gear to line up with the dot on the cam gear.
