It is almost impossible to grind a roller cam with the same specs as a flat tappet. Your best bet will be to pick a cam grinder and send them your present cam so they can put it on a cam Doctor and see exactly what it is. Then try to get something as close as possible.
However what I would do is get a camshaft that is designed to work with the Pro Charger. Yes you will have to redo the tune but the proper cam will make a world of difference in the performance. And less chance of damaging the engine in other ways. |

I would not try another flat tappet. The flat tappet cams of today fail often compared to years ago. |
Ok. Thanks for your time . I'll go that way .. will find best hydrolic roller kit for my application and go back to Tyler's shop.

if it were me,I'd call bullet and have a cam made w/ a base circle that can use gm parts lifters,,the lifters won't break the bank.
you have O2 bungs in your exhaust? |

I would not try another flat tappet. The flat tappet cams of today fail often compared to years ago. If keeping the FT is your short/med term solution. I would agree that you now have the opportunity to source a proper supercharger friendly cam. Gen V block will require the aftermarket link bar style lifters of course. Important to source quality roller lifters or you'll be in the same boat again. What heads heads have got on the 502? |
