i was thinking they are just vw / audi engines now days rather than the old days. Not 'real' lam motors. I might be way off. I dont know. Their site is convincing plus with financing and warranty. I dont know. Im probably too far away anyway.

No clue, I'm out of the go-fast money game for now. I'm sure others here will chime in with current real world values.

Frankly, if this company was doing what they say they can do, I'm sure we'd have heard of them by now.

I hadnt looked them up, OR TRUSTED them....I hadnt that much interest yet, just googled them when i came across their info. I found a company with that name, or close that was ripping people off which is what brought me here to see if anyone knew them. Seems like a bad name choice on their part whatever the case. With now a little more research and your link, thats not this woman or same person i dont think. Looks like she owns a lot of companies down there, shows up all over sunbiz state site and nobody bashing her i can see.
To your point, if they are new like that it probably reasons as to why nobody has heard of them id suspect. Helll, if they finance with their own money their engines and labor to ppl, they are the ones losing if they dont work right? Hard to get screwed if you don't pay if it dont work right? I just was asking if anyone tried them out because its affordable with financing and the cool factor stood out to me. Im not like a lot of you folks who can through 100k per engine at a toy boat. Im retured but was a working stiff all my life. Im lucky i have what i do.

These engines rev up to 8000 rpm and can't be used with a standard IO drive like a Mercury or IMCO, because they don't have the right gear ratio. And 600 hp at 8000 rpm requires at least a 2.2 gear ratio; otherwise, at full power there won’t be enough torque on the propeller, which would spin too fast-to low prop torque. For a heavy powerboat like the one in question, you would need at least a 2.4 gear ratio to get good results. This can only be achieved with an Arneson or some other surface drive that has a separate gearbox. I believe Ilmor offers a drive with an almost suitable gear ratio, but the price?
If you insist and install an additional reduction gearbox between the engine and the drive to bring total rpm at the propeller down to around 3,300 or less, the torque at the IO drive’s input shaft will be so high that only the most expensive drives will be able to handle it.
In my oppinion only Arneson really work with such combo.

@600 hp, 8000 rpm and gear ratio 1.5 you have only 590 lbft torque, but you need on prop shaft at least 750 lbft, better 850 or more lbft to turn B1. prop.
Engine with 600 hp and 8.000 rpm bring out only 390 lbft on engine shaft.
I you want to use a conventional IO drive with a 1.5 gear ratio on such a heavy speedboat at 8000 rpm, you would need more than 800 hp.
With an Arneson or another surface drive, you can use a gear ratio that delivers up to 3,200 rpm at the propeller, which is ideal for speeds around 70 mph, and the speedboat would have really good acceleration.
