The reason they drive them around is not because of the fuel it’s because of battery issues and the manufacture having to warranty dead batteries , GM started a program about 4 years ago because they were replacing high amount of batteries, they now have the capabilities with onstar to know where the car is located and how long it’s been sitting parked at the same location ,if they don’t drive the car at least a mile or two every couple weeks they will not pay for a battery replacement. The dealership has to eat it. It has nothing to do with the fuel. It still has the same old stale fuel in the tank
same applies to you, starting your car every two or three weeks doesn’t accomplish anything because you’re still burning the same fuel that’s been sitting in your tank,

I don't care how you maintain anything. My money doesn't go to your repairs. Okay Jose

If you looked at my profile. I live in Florida. And we use the boat 12 months out of the year. But because of our work schedule the boat May sit for 4 weeks. That doesn't stop me running the engine every 3 weeks to lube the engine and put fresh gas in the injectors.

My boat is stored for about 6 months every year for the last 18 years. Non ethanol fuel and in a garage kept at 45-50*. No stabilizer or fuel treatment ever used and never any issues. In the Spring it starts the same as if it had been parked for a week.

I have to run ethanol fuel (93 oct) due to high compression, so I add Sta-Bil at every fill-up since I never know how long it may be before I get back on the water again. When winter comes around, I drain it all out and put in a mixture of 10 gals of E0 gas, 2 oz of Sta-Bil and 1 qt of 2-stroke oil. Run engs until I see smoke coming out the exhaust, then fog the engs till they choke and die.
Last time I did all this was in 2022. Due to life and low lake levels, didn't re-start engs until this year. With the storage gas still in the tank, both engs started right up. Port eng ran fine. Starboard eng had a power valve blow-out so disassembled carb. Carb internals looked like new, rubber parts included. I'm a believer that Sta-Bil, E-0 gas and 2-stroke oil is the ultimate storage mixture, at least for carb'ed fuel systems.
