Maybe I over stepped the mark. I don't know how you operated the dealership. No offense, but every time someone says, I know what I'm talking about. I have to chuckle. I get this flash back that I'm back at the machine shop. MANY customers that come off the street say, I have an easy job that won't take long.....
Vehicles at a dealership can sit for 40 days, up to 120 days. Unless it's popular. You putting 2 miles a week on a car to charge the battery would put unneeded miles on a new vehicle. And running a car 2 miles a week to charge a battery. IMHO I don't see it charging anything. Repeating myself, we don't start the vehicles to charge the battery. When a vehicle is sold here. While you wait 4-7 hrs including filling out paperwork. Your car goes to the shop and detailing. If the battery is low. It gets a quick charge.

That doesn't stop me running the engine every 3 weeks to lube the engine and put fresh gas in the injectors
But the gas in the tank heading to those injectors is also + 3 weeks old? How is it suddenly fresh?

The word fresh has more than one meaning.

Debating anything on the Internet is the same as walking down the street and seeing a pile of dog crap, you have the option to step in it or go around it, and I choose not to step in it.lol

you might want to research GM policies because your above statement is wrong!

I stated what a 15 year sales employee told me at my wife's dealership. If you know different. Show us the GM policy in PDF or in letterhead.

I started working for GM in 1985 and left the dealership in 2022, same GM dealership for 37 years,
what I said in my previous reply is 100% accurate, don’t take this the wrong way but I probably forgot more about GM policy than your 15 year employee at your wife’s work knows.
