Good info in this thread. Gen VI BBC setups can get confusing fast once you start mixing lifters, pushrods, and retainers from different combos. I’ve seen a lot of people recommend checking pushrod length carefully instead of assuming stock dimensions still work after cam or head changes. Small details in the valvetrain can make a huge difference in reliability.
