[QUOTE=Donzi38ZR]

1)Now this statement a about a Cig's a Cig and always will be a Cig, and there's no mistaken it well....

2)Cost ? Sorry I can find alot of places put my extra $200K.

3)Technology ? well that's where those recent championships come into play.... I don't see the technology "fading" as you put it, how would it fade? and if it did, wouldn't the ZR's still be ahead ?

1) Let' talk about resale in 5 yrs.

2) I can too, and it's not in a Donzi. ZR's and Glads. sticker for around the same $$.

3) I said the Donzi race boats are badazz, but don't you think there is a reason the FASTEST Donzi team jumped ship(pun intended) to Skater? I am upset that Cig. no longer races in the pro classes, but they have switched directions and seem stronger for it.

I love the Donzi, just love the Cigs. more. And yes, I have owned one so I know of what I speak. I am only one man, but that's one mans opinion.

C'mon Pm, don't get all Mr. Sensitive on me, this is a action and reaction forum, if we didn't talk chit all the time it would be pretty boring...
Looking back the class comment looks like it was directed at you but it was not, guess i should have separated the sentence.

Bar- 3) Of course there's a reason, Scot is a skater dealer has been for quite a many years now, it makes perfect sense that he would jump into the skater, now the real question is, don't you think there is as reason he was selling skaters and racing Donzi's ?

Donzi38ZR,
No big deal, it has been fun,and lets face it, thats why we are here. Of course we can get a little emotional, this hobby and our boats are major investments emotionally as well as financially .Its nice to know that there are other people out there that share the same degree of mental imbalance to actually own a 38 foot boat with no sleeping quarters that gets used several hours a week and costs more than some homes.

Shouldn't it be ZR Comp vs Top Gun ?
They are both the same length.
The Gladiator is 36 ft vs 38 for the Gun.
And now that you got the piss out
what are the technical differences between these boats,
is the difference in the stepped hull,
staggered engines in the Donzi?

There is only 7 inches between the Gladiator (36.11) and the Topgun at (37.6) Both the Gladiator and ZR are sit down boats. That is why they are compared against each other.

Yes it makes sense that a long term Skater dealer would race Skater. The question still is why he jumped ship. Smart money says the reason he raced Donzi and sold Skaters is because Donzi was bending over backward to put boats on the course. Also, Skater is now in the same position, even in the outboard class thay are hoping to get people on the race course in a 32'. Cig. is not doing anything to help promote racing, just sending there best equipment to where the real $$ is PR's.

I truly like the Donzi, but after losing over 100k to bad boat dealers in 2 yrs. I gotta stay with the Cig for long term considerations.

Seeing what the Adrenaline ZR boat is going for @ pier 57 I'd say Donzi was not bending over too far backwards to get boats on the racecourse.
I believe it was more of a " jump on the championship bandwagon " thing myself. ZR's whrere winning championships and everyone wanted a piece.

100K-2years-bad boat dealers -Ouch
