It seems to me that the Cat market has also started to fade. Lots of competition, High insurance rates, Difficult to trailer.... I think Donzi would be crazy to build a Cat in this market. A 43 Comp Would be the way to go!! They already have a Mold for a 43. The Comp Version probably would require a few mod's, extra steps, free board, Etc. If Donzi made A 43 Comp it should have a MTI style full wrap around windshield and a 6 seat configuration would be a must. No one currently makes a boat like this. Throw in a pair of Merc 1075's and you got a real unique 120+MPH Bad Ass Boat....

Yes............LOL... The cat thing was more of a joke really .... But, It's no suprise that they would have plans for one tucked away somewhere .......... The big power 43 comp you described would be awsome though ...... Kinda sound's like OL, territory, but who knows ,,, It could take off .......

To the best of my knowledge the Outerlimits GTX's only come in a 5 seat configurations. If im wrong on this please correct me.... We all know that Outerlimits boats are very nice but VERY expensive. Based on what I have seen the 38 Comps sell for, I think Donzi could offer a 43 Comp for much less then an equivalent Outerlimits GTX

You are right. OL doesnt buid a six seater, but if you want one they will build it. Donzi could probably build a 43 comp and offer it less than an OL but there's really know market for one and they would most likely loose money. Outerlimits has that maket. There's no question about it.

I dont know about that...yes OL has a large segment of the sit down market, but I think Donzi could have a piece of that as well. The ZR bottom is a great bottom, it has proven itself on the race course, and that's what these sit down boats are intended for..speed. Donzi will build it for less money, less quality, but will be in reach for the masses..Ol like their ads say: they are not for everyone, for the select few..and Mike has carved a nice niche with his entire line. I SAY BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME.

The 38 bottom is awesome but the 43 bottom is a little slow compared to the others. The sit-down market unfortunatly is dead. I dont know why since they're the best for offshore boating!!

They have nothing to do with this thread. By the way, only one was from Ocean Perofrmance.
