I am interested in any input on an alarm that we experienced yesterday while heading home. While cruising at 3800 RPM's, we had an alarm beep 3 times within a span of less than 5 seconds.
We checked all the fluid levels...they were ok. We confirmed that all gauges were showing normal readings.
Before we spend the equivalent of a payment on a mechanic who may tell us it is something really simple, I was hoping for some ideas from other owners.
It is a 2005 38ZX with about 160 hours on it. Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts on this issue.

It is difficult if not impossible sometimes to tell you anything without some data & a scanner. That said any other running info you can provide may allow me to give you a couple possibilities that may or may not be the culprit (engine models, hours, speed, rpms, conditions, etc when the alarm went off). Other wise there is a long list for sure of reasons that the alarm may go off.. Jamie / Lakeside
BTW, I understand about the coin these days as well as anybody, but a good tech is worth their pay, as they can at times help keep you from needing a more costly repair..

You will have to plug into a computer on a 525 they have several codes that will beep in sequence.
Map Sensor, Fuel Pressure, water flow, crank sensor and even though you may find the problem the default codes will have to be cleared.
