call frankie mcswain at pier 57 they have r sweet deal on a 35/496 boat which in my opinion is the way to go for a first time performance boater

Thanks for all of the replies and PM's. It has all been very educational. I think the 35ZR with 496's is the right one....ideally w/ a generator and vacuflush head. However, I need to hold off on the purchase for a bit until I am done pouring $$ into my basement fit-out. The wife seems to be going over budget. Again.

Consider Grand Sport Center too in Chicago. They have 1 new 09 and used 08 35 ZR's to consider. Go to www.Grandsportcenter.com to view them. The guys are right, and HO boat will run upper 70's easy, on occasion 80+.
They are very tight for overnighting though as you should come see one in person.
