Thanks for the insight, and just to clarify for me, your present 38 ZR has an extension box, (Latham) but not the Merc. ITS set-up, correct? I agree the ITS is a clean package, and I was thinking that the extra ~7 inches of set back would give the 38 ZR more leverage in trimming and running in big snotty water?

Thats right, my boat now has latham extension boxes, my old boat had standard xr's. No difference in rough water either.

I have drove both boats with ITS and without. With ITS the boat gets on plane faster especilly into the chop, the boat also handles on a straight line. You will have no drift with ITS. speed is about the same between both.
