The project has been held up for a bit waiting on the center dash panel to come back from the supplier after some needed modifications to fit the new GPS unit. Jerry should get it today and after hooking up the switches and gps the engines can be fired up, lines bled and the boat should hit the water for testing this weekend.

It's come a long way from when Jerry first received it.

The center console is going to get covered with the same carbon fiber material as the dash panels and the one cup holder moved by the side of the other instead of in front of it.

Looks Awesome!

Before you move the cup holders, keep in mind that people will be stepping on the console quite a bit to access the deck. Make sure there is an area big enough for them to step and strong enough to support their weight. I used to have the stereo (got smashed twice while it was there ) where the step plate is now.

Since that picture, I moved the indicators down and installed a Garmin 4208 in the top center.

Your dash looks great Tom. Maybe I should just keep the holders where they are and mount a step plate next to them. Thanks a bunch.

The final panel arrived yesterday. It should hit the water in a few days.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but do the Arneson cases hang down below the notched transom?

I'm still dreaming about a ZRC. Wish I could swing one but maybe one of these days. I want one of the old ones though. Anyone know what ever happened to the Ross' Snap-On Tools boat?

Yes they do, the rigger filled in the notch to accommodate for the overhang.

Tom made a list of where all the known ZRC's were. That one may have been overseas.

Jerry decided on a 36 inch LCD instead of a GPS so we could watch the football games while running down the lake.

She's floating. They took her out but the tachs weren't reading. They can read the V-10's but apparently were not calibrated from the factory to do so they are working on resolving that today. They got her up to 103 on the first pass (without the hatch on) but had no idea where their rpm's were so they called it a day.

Check out how much higher the boat is sitting in the rear with the Ilmors staggered vs the old side-by-side 500's.
