sounds like they did the guy right.. but some of the stuff they replaced did sound like he was to good of a boat owner.. allot stuff knock off the boat in suck a short period of time... it probably hit every dock in texas... but on the owners site.. it not good to have a boat with a bunch of air in the glass... those guns they lay the boats with are very picky.. to much resin... wrong speed on the fiber.. bad knives.. wrong pressure.. bad mix of resin.. and if some new guy was watching the mold that day it would be easy to see how a boat could go out with air holes in the glass... just look at the strakes on just about all Baja's... just saw a 97 Islander in the shop that had... no less than 40-50 air pockets in the strakes... and some real light color on the boat that in the right sun you could still see the fiber in the glass.. i could go on and on about it...

Before you pass judgment on me, let me remind you that you don’t know me or how I operate and care for my boat. Additionally, taking Donzi’s statement as gospel on this subject is a fairly narrow minded position in my opinion.

Like every story in history, there are at least two sides.

Instead of duplicating it all here, please feel free to read and see the pictures of the customers’ side of the story at: Customers Side

It may or may not change your opinion, but it might enlighten you even if just a little bit.

chrker:
When making a website about "how bad Donzi's are," did you ever wonder what kind of a negative affect that will have on the reslae of your boat? Seeing that it porposes more than it should, why would soneone want to buy the boat?

well i can see that they got a bad batch of resin.. because that didn't come off the mold.. but for a 1996 with unknown hours on it thing are going to go wrong.. fiberglass and boats need general maintains done to them..and reading your web site it looks like you never did anything bad to the boat in the last 6 years.. but some of the overspray and other things that they were wrong with the boat when they returned it to you.. i wouldn 't take back either..

I don't understand if the boat was a 1996 bought in 1999, you would think that some of this problem would have shown up by the time he bought the boat, what made them happen all at once.
Something sound strange to me??? I know of many older classics that still have great factory paint jobs, as for my 26ZX the gel coat is flawless.

ZX.. i agree after 3-4 years.. can't just see that glass blister like that.. only thing i can remember is one time a guy had his boat on a covered lift with a dark grey cover and when he put it up at a broker to sell it got hot and cracked acouple things.. but that's not down by the strakes..

something isn't right..

That's IS really great that Donzi stepped up. Restores the faith sort of. That beats Fountain hands down. Give credit where its due.
