Well we made it to Biloxi, managed a podium finish and prize money too. Thanks to all the OSS race teams and OSS staff for welcoming us.
Since we got the new 38 in our hands last week we figured we would be a little off the pace at Biloxi.
Based on the performance of the other CL boats we started with 1:57 drives, but we've been on the engine limiters from day 1, even dropping the drives another 1/2 inch at Biloxi did not help. Rolling the dice with an untested set of props... well....don't ay it!
Keeping this boat off the engine limiters is tougher than you think especially when it starts at 111 mph, just when the hull starts to fly. This boat is fast..... fast....!!
We've decided we should miss Havasu and go to X site instead, looking for 1:5 drives already.
Congrats to Peppers on the win, but watch out here we come...and don't go running to 850 Class just yet.
