I do own the 32 with the 525efi's and SS390 is correct we did take the bravo xr drives off and replaced them with the imco SCX-4 drives. Best move ever.... We broke the the xr's 3 times and never was running in rough water. I think they just couldn't handle turning a 36 pitch 5 blade herring with a 1.34 ratio. the boat ran 125-126 with that setup. The prop shaft was 2.5" above the bottom of the boat and i do have a notch on the transom of my boat. Again i would sell the new bravo xr's and get something different/stronger the boat has seen the best of 128 on the St Johns river at the jacksonville river rally last year and still didn't have it quite right. Looking to get it consistently in the low 130s before playing with the 525efi's

Bor,
Cash has you pointed in the right direction regrading getting in contact with the owner(s). I do know the owner's son recently opened up a marine engine shop (IIRC), again based out of the west coast. The name is pretty generic(Johnsons, Richards, etc, but I dont remember the exact name).
I dont have the measurements you're looking for, but I did talk with the owners about the drives a while ago. That boat (the white and blue one) was a bravo boat. After popping some of those POS bravos they converted over to SCX drives. I seem to recall they went to the SCX-4, but I don't know if they used any spacer(s). The son did mention that it was harder to get on plane, but it ran great once up.
Anyway, good luck and post up details on your build!

I do have an engine shop and the name is "generic" in this industry as it is my last name which happens to be Fountain
Look for things coming up in the future and feel free to check us out on Facebook under Fountain Race Engines as I haven't had time to get the website up and running. If any one is in the sarasota area and want to stop by feel free to call or just stop in

Thank you for this info ! I still have some time till boat is finished so look what I can do on the xr s .As you mentioned I think the problem is the big amount of stress those big props give to the drive
Could you look for me whats the distance is from inside the tunnel to the propshaft ?
thanks again
Armand
