Default Staggered engines.....drives were set 1/4" toe in

I've got a a 34' Super Hawaii with Staggered engines. with full hyd. steering. After servicing my drives I decided to measure the drives for straightnes. I found out they were set 1/4" toe in. I was suprised to see this. I set the toe to 0. Then started wondering if this was right.
Why would they be set with this much toe in. Or has the tie bar simply been installed incorectly.

Im not certain but I believe it helps the boat go straight.I think if the drives are o or negative, the boat will wander!

If your props "turn out"... some people like to "toe in" the drives. 1/4 inch isn't much. There is the thought that since the hull is a "vee" that the water comes out from under the boat at a slight angle. So the drives are set with a toe in. There is the other school of thought that you want the drives counteracting the push of the props turning out, hence the toe in. I've also heard that if your props "turn in" that you should toe out your drives... who knows. Set them straight and see if you have any handling problems or wander.

That make sence. I set them straight. It only takes a moment to change them back if it has issues.
