Default bravo one 1.5ratio in arriva 2450

Help needed, I broke my lower unit and got a new one. I had Mirage 23" ss-prop and my boat took 6000rpm/60mph in tacho. I think that there´s been quite much slip because high rpm, what kind of experience have you with arrivas and props that hold and work well?? vessel is 24feet 21degr v-bottom and engine 454ho magnum. Thanks already, Roope from land of thousand lakes - Finland!

I have several freinds that have had arriva's and they both ran bravo I props, costs you a little top end, but work great for hole shot and mid range.

I wonder how the size affects when my recent prop is 23". I´ve been thinking bravo1 or rev4 also by myself. They both are a bit larger diameter than old mirage. Should I also insert couple inches of pitch?? anyone??

what was your top speed at 6k rpm's?

have you verified your tach?

if your tach is spot on the you would need a 28p 3 blade prop to get you in the (safe) rpm range of that motor. Not sure what you would need in a 4 blade maybe try a 26p

good luck the rev 4 is a nice prop, but your tach sounds like its off by 1000. I could see you doing 60 with a 23 at 5000. maybe the prop hub is slipping. please let us know how you make out. artie
