Default Staggered motors and drivelines

Hi Guys, I own a 2005 Donzi 38ZR with staggered 525's. I just completed a complete rebuild of my Bravo XR drives at 225 hours. Complete bearings, seals and upper gearsets.

In my setup, the staggered or forward engine has a driveshaft between the engine and the drive that is about 2-1/2 feet long. This driveshaft has U joints and bearings, etc. at each end.

Since the drives were ready for rebuilding at this time, I'm wondering what if anything I should be doing to this driveshaft area.

Thanks,

Mark

i would change the u-joints and have the shaft rebalanced. also consider the pilot bearing( thats the bearing support bolted to staggered engines inner transom plate).

It's been my experience that these parts, on TRS and Speedmasters anyway, are really well built.
If you grease the u joints and carrier bearings regularly, they will last a long time.
