Default Bravo 1 cut wires for trim sending unit

Does anbody have any good ideas on how to change the trim sending unit & wires?

I would like to do this witout pulling the lower unit.

Also How do I adjust the port and starboard trims so the drives are the same height and they are reading the same??

Thanks in advance

Dave

theres a 7/16 bolt holding down a split style wahser( if you will). its a lil tight, but it can be done using 1/4 drive extensions and universal 7/16 socket. i believe the left plastic sender is a trim limit and the right the actual sender. once you remove the bolt and"washer" theres a rubber gromett. and the wires run thru the middle of it, this is what makes the seal.
as for adjustment there should be torx or philips screwa holding the unit on. loosen them and rotate unit while having someone watch the guage.
the newer merc stuff hass slight differences , but basicly the same principal.

good luck.

Default trim senders

I believe if you cut the harness on the senders it voids the one year warnty on them. It can be done with out removing the drive it is kinda a pita but it can be done. Make sure the pivot pins are tight too otherwise all the adjusting in the world won't fix it for long
