It would be great to have a true super duty outdrive that is a direct replacement for a bravo.( not having to move the motor snd such)

Hopefully they are upgrading the parts all the others are using stock mercury parts on (gears and shafts) and not just making another case to put merc parts into.

We are in negotiations for the production of our drives.
The WSD drive is being redone in the gimbal section to accept the newer gimbal of the WMD drive (lack of KAAMA style boot) common parts between the drives Gimbal/boot/trim and steering. We are currently finishing the WXX drive. It will be running before the end of the year.
We have been concentrating on the transmission part of the package for most of this year. We have several multi-speed projects that are completed or nearing completion as well as the FNR transmission/multi-speed.
Our focus has been on having a complete package (engine/transmission/drive/propeller) for the customer. When we have all of the elements in place and proper testing is done then we will offer everything to the public.
With the experience we gained from projects like (Skater40) we learned how important the complete package is to the performance of the boat. The overall set-up has been drastically changed from when the boat had 6 drives on it. His boat is still evolving (the gear ratio is done)
Larry and Jeff have been great to work with (Larry's Engine)
We are not trying to ignore anyone we are just very, very busy. Sorry Gary.
Stay tuned.

Would a Weismann drive fit on an Imco extension box? I have room for a trans in my engine compartment. Would be great to just pull off the XR and put on the Weismann. Wouldn't mind adding an adapter if neccesary. Would be an amazing combo with an ilmor 710. Willing to be a test boat if needed.

Ilmor did their own thing.
It made sense for us to work with them but there was and still are some people involved with Ilmor that have their own agenda.
I have looked very closely at the bravo problem. It is a catch 22. I designed an upper to replace what fails first. Then I looked at the lower and then the gimbal. All too week throw everything out start all over.
We did replace a 4x4 without moving the motor/transmission. We removed everything outside the transom and used the steering rams. The project was fairly simple,ha. The problem I had with the project was the original set-up. It was wrong.
I know that there is a better set-up for the boats that are out there. I have stopped other projects because I did not agree with the set-up and I regret the ones I did not wade in on.
The problem with the Bravo drive starts with people trying to over power the unit. It was not designed for 300 plus hp. When people have big power on them they are careful. When you give them a drive that can take the power they are no longer careful.
The boat needs to be a complete system. We are working on a complete system.
Jassman, our drive is one piece gimbal and drive. When we quoted you it was that way. It is not being priced to compare with a 6. When you get an accurate quote for the cost of a 6drive and a 6 gimbal let me know. It seems to vary who you ask.
